There's was charcoal lighting up the closed spaces and a pot full of tea with newspaper in my hand. As usual, the very basic and the to do list or task to be updated about the surroundings is read the first page of the newspaper and then the editorial. While reading the editorial in the Times of India, I came across the opening up of schools, colleges, offices running at 100 per cent capacity, things slowly gathering and taking a leap and bound , lives starting to be normalised in a new normal with a glimmer of hope that we have passed the peak, and the seldom third wave. That's when while reading and introspecting I came to new idea for this article which is disrupting the Hybrid space and how to emulate the nostalgic academia and the cruel experiences which an entrepreneurial or blue collar Jobs have in offering. It's been almost 2 years since I started on my corporate journey rather the customer journey where what we learnt in the post graduation was suddenly breaking into pieces. Everything and the most turnaround event was time, money and the efforts put in. I guess, even the financial accounting and management that I pursued in a failed attempt at my chartered accountancy carrier couldn't make me realise. As the time passed by, it was not the usual buisness that everyone other than the Gen Zs had to face. We are the generations who have starred out on our journeys in the pandemic era which looks like a exhaustive excel learning where over the past 2 years we have pursued so many roles and acted in some responsibilities that we can call ourselves the best of managers. That's the only positive outcome from the pandemic (it's still going).
We have got used to wearing casuals all day long, sitting on a sofa and chilling while watching Netflix and doing amazing things in our work as well. Hairs have gone white , metaphor for the extra extra efforts we have put into and the mental health being sidelined to just a curious murder mystery about a Bollywood celeb. Coming back to disrupting the Hybrid space, the things we used to do in our board exams, and then in graduation days, have suddenly come to a halt, as of they were just there to be a photogenic memory in our lives. Is it so? If yes, have we done justice to the academia? Well, the answer is not a straight yes and vice versa. What matters most is the experiment of maintaining a balance between the experience and the academia. Unfortunately, at the time of onboarding on to a new destination, we are being told about the pay leaves, sick leaves to silent hour with no or little attention of what can be called as an extension of the academics which we are stagnating at. This is a subjective post and specifically points out to the financial services. The financial services is all about doing coffee to crypto things, making everyone an expert in automation and pythons of the World. We have forgotten how we used to write in a classmate register and make notes. Some may doubt this or recall this as a blot on education, not denying and fully advocating that thought, but at the same time, we should not forget the beautiful moments where like a magic we couldn't even decipher the pattern and the things got jotted down in our minds. A beautiful mind , on Netflix, is a beautiful scripted film, and rather an inspiration for writing the article. We are now diving into the Pegasus of metaverse, where everything would be through a VR headset and what not, being in a social media world, and every fraction of a second, our hands reaching our handsets for texting, we have if not taking a step forward have been backward like a telephoto lens sponsored by the Apple and Google's of the World. What they are doing is just using us the people and we being the puppets in the hand of the GAFA gang operating. It's time a balance be achieved at without being made into a human bot!!.
